Luminous Mandala Advanced Workshop

This workshop is for those persons who have completed the basic Luminous Mandala class and have learned the techniques of drawing and coloring luminous mandalas, or for persons who have previous art experience.  This workshop focuses on providing a safe and healing space in which to create luminous mandalas fo healing, and provides choices for expressing healing of self healing relationships, making a sacred connection with nature, or expressing the soul's divinity.  There is time for participants to create a luminous mandala and to process it with group feedback(if desired).

When:  May 5, 2012, Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4:30p.m.
Where:  2972 Bailey Ave., Medford
Fee:  $90 with a $10.00 fee required in advance to hold a space.  Scholarships may be available to offset part of the cost.  Contact the facilitators regarding scholarship availability.
Bring a sack lunch.  Beverages and snacks will be provided.  Bring colored pencils including white and black cardstock.

*Persons with previous art experince in shading and blending colors may attend this workshop with permission from the facilitators.

Winter Luminous Mandala Class and Workshop

Luminous Mandala Class

This six session class is the entry level in learning to create luminous mandalas.  The techniques of creating and working with luminous mandalas will be taught and participants will have the opportunity to create their own.  These mandalas done on black paper are strikingly beautiful and can facilitate healing of self, relationships and spirit when used in a thoughtful and meditative way.  No prior art or drawing experience is needed.
When:  Thursday evenings, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Feb. 2, 9, 16 and 23, March 1 and March 22.

Mandala Luminous Symbols for Healing
This seven week class will help you learn to access healing symbols and colors for yourself and others, create luminous mandalas, and activate latent healing energies to experience health and wholeness.  The book Mandala Luminous Symbols for Healing, by Judith Cornell, Ph.D. will ge the required text.  An art supply list will be sent to you when you register.
When:  Seven Wednesday evenings, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Sept. 14th, 21st, and 28th, Oct. 5th, 12th, and Nov. 2nd, and 9th
Where:  2972 Baily Avenue, Medford
Fee:  $75
Facilitators:  Diane Tibbitts is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 36 years of experience counseling persons of all ages in how to reach a deeper level of healthy awareness and integration of self.
Janet London, M.Ed.  has been facilitating mandala workshops and classes in the Rogue Valley for the past seven years as well as creating mandala art.

Circles of the Sacred Feminine
This one day workshop will provide a "moving" encounter with the divine as a sacred feminine presence.  Participants will be invited to use free form movement expression, mandala art and group sharing to explore their personal experience of the divine feminine.  Mandala designs will be availaable for coloring or you can create your own design. Art supplies will be provided.
Where:  Rogue Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 87 Fourth Ave., Ashland
When:  Oct. 15, Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Bring a sack lunch and wear comfortable clothes for movement.)
Fee:  $60-$80 Sliding
Facilitators:  Louise Pare, Ph.D. is a dymamic women's spirituality and movement healing arts educator and published writer.  Janet London, M.Ed. has been facilitating mandala workshops and classes in the Rogue Valley for the past seven years as well as being a mandala artist.
