On Saturday, June 19, there will be a Pressed Flower Art Sale at London Hummingbird Arts with bookmarks, cards, vases, light switchplates and more. Microfleur Flower Presses, Mandala Coloring Books and Packets will also be available to purchase. Barb Wallgren of Cowboy Flowers will have a selection of live plants for sale and glass artist, Jannie Ledard will have her beautiful fused glass jewelry and stained glass mandalas for sale.

There will be free mandala postcards to color that you can take home with you. Refreshments will be served and free print bookmarks will be given to the first 10 people that walk through the door.

World Mandalas for Personal Discovery

Feb. 10-March 17, Six Wednesday Evenings, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Class Fee: $75
Color mandalas based on traditional Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, Celtic and Native American designs. Each week you will pick a design that appeals to you and then use the colored mandala to reflect on one of these topics: establish your true self, feel integrated and whole, face up to problems, generate creativity, heal yourself and learn from color choices. Required Text: World Mandalas, by Madonna Gauding. If you want to purchase this text from me, please register by Feb. 3, Wed. so I can order enough books. Book Cost: $12

Coloring Mandalas for Fun and Relaxation
Feb. 6- Saturday Afternoon, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Class Fee: $25
Designs from four new mandala books I have just purchased will be available for coloring or you can create your own mandala design to color. Colored pencils and markers will be provided.
Think of this as creative play!

Tibetan Mandalas
March 13-Saturday Afternoon, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Class Fee: $25
Color mandalas taken from Tibetan designs, contemplating the meaning of the the designs as you color. Journal about the contemplative experience and share in a supportive group setting.
Colored pencils and markers will be provided.

Creating Your Own Mandalas
March 20- Saturday Afternoon, 1.p.m. to 4 p.m.
Class Fee: $25 ($10 for anyone who has taken a mandala class from me in the past including the free library workshop)
Create your own mandala using either free form or symmetrical form. Rulers and compasses will be available and also magazines if you want to collage a mandala. Colored pencils and markers will also be available and you are welcome to bring any of your own supplies.

Circles of the Sacred Feminine Mandala Class
Four Wednesdays, Sept. 23- Oct. 14, 6:30p.m.- 8:30 p.m. London Hummingbird Arts: Fee: $42.
Experience a creative encounter with the divine as a feminine presence. Designs to color will be based on ancient European artifacts, traditional Hindu Yantras and contemporary art. You can also create your own designs. You will explore the personal meaning of Mandalas you draw or color and receive helpful feedback from the group.

Healing in a Starry, Starry Night
a workshop on approaching the dark night of depression with compassionate acceptance
Saturday, Nov. 7, 9:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m., Location: Unitarian Center, 87 Fourth St., Ashland, Or. Fee: $75
Honor "the Dark Night of the soul" experience as a natural and cyclic passage to a deeper relationship with self. Allow visualization, art, writing, and supportive sharing to guide you to your inner wisdom. Betsy Lewis, artist, community health educator and founder of art events productions will assist me in this workshop.

Using Mandalas for Self-Awareness and Transformation Workshop
Saturday, Dec. 5, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m., London Hummingbird Arts, Fee: $50.
You will explore the personal meaning of mandalas you draw and color and receive helpful feedback from the group. You will also learn about color symbolism. Mandala designs for coloring were created by artist, Betsy Lewis.

Welcome!

I'm Janet London and I teach Mandala Coloring classes and workshops in the Rogue Valley area of Southern Oregon. My last season of classes was a welcome success! I thank all those who participated in them for their enthusiastic support, and congratulate them for their beautiful work and all they accomplished on a personal level as a result. Right now it's summer, and for me that's time to gather and press flowers for the pressed flower mandalas I also create, so I'm not offering classes at the moment, but I will be announcing my new schedule for Fall classes soon. My classes and workshops are usually limited to a small number of people and sometimes fill up quite quickly, and I often add workshops and classes to my already announced schedule as new opportunities arise, so I've started this blog so I can present my new class and workshop schedule in a way that's convenient for you to keep up with.

I also offer private mandala classes and teach private groups upon request. If you would be interested in making arrangements for your own private mandala class or one for a small group you assemble, please email me to learn more.
